Girls’ basketball: Bell gets second chance and prevails

Bell was left out of the City Section Division III girls’ basketball playoffs because of an omission by the seeding committee. The Eagles appealed, got put in and won their play-in game on Wednesday over Banning, 56-26.

Bell will play Reseda in a first-round game on Friday.
