Girls' basketball: An omission by City seeding committee is under review

The Bell girls' basketball team was left out of the City Section Division III playoffs despite a 13-17 record and 2-10 mark in league.

Trent Cornelius, the City Section administrator in charge of the playoffs, said Monday the situation is under review.

Bell had a much better record than Banning, which was put into the playoffs with a 2-16 mark and 1-11 in league.

Cornelius said it was an omission that Bell was not brought up at the seeding meeting on Saturday.
