Girls' basketball: AGBU is trailing 19-14 at halftime

So far, Mesa Grande Academy is showing why it was seeded No. 1 in the Southern Section Division 5A playoffs. The Cardinals used balanced scoring to take a 19-14 halftime lead over second-seeded AGBU.

Abbie Tohm has five points while Laura Bosler, Michaela Garcia and Madison Price each have four for Mesa Grande Academy. Alin Zarifian has seven points to lead the Titans.

There were five lead changes in the first quarter, which ended with Mesa Grande leading 8-7.
