Football: Upland is set at quarterback, but who's going to start?
Upland will have a solid starting quarterback whenever Coach Tim Salter makes a decision between two juniors to be.
Tyler Hilinski, a transfer from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, has made an immediate impression.
"He looks pretty good," Salter said. "He'll be a Division I kid. He's legit."
But Hilinksi will have to beat out Nate Romine's backup last season, Zac Sturdivant, who's tough and athletic.
"We're a long ways from announcing a starter," Salter said.
Upland will start participating in passing competitions in May.
