Boys' basketball: What a weekend for Crescenta Valley's Cole Currie

Cole Currie of Crescenta Valley is having a weekend to remember.

He scored 27 points on Friday to help the Falcons defeat Long Beach Millikan, 68-54, in a 1A quarterfinal playoff game.

On Saturday night, he scheduled to be the starting pitcher for Crescenta Valley in its baseball opener at Stengel Field.
