Boys' basketball: West Ranch wins Foothill League title

West Ranch fans will have to send a thank you note to the basketball team at Canyon Country Canyon, which upset Newhall Hart, 62-61, on Friday night, enabling West Ranch to win the Foothill League championship.

West Ranch defeated Valencia, 73-51. Ako Kaluna scored 20 points and had 21 rebounds. Kevin Harris added 15 points.

Santa Clara defeated St. Bonaventure, 59-52, in a Tri-Valley League tiebreaker to determine third place. D'Andre Jones scored 25 points and Arman Momin had 18.
