Boys' basketball: The Castle goes out cheering [Video]

February 7, 2013 | 12:18 pm

It's been the year of the fan in high school basketball. There's been great student participation in the bleachers at games, from Chaminade (The Cage) to Calabasas (The Pack) to Crespi (The Cabana) to Servite (The Asylum).

At Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, The Castle made probably its final appearance of the season on Wednesday night against rival Crespi. The students did their best to make lots of noise and generate enthusiasm, but the Knights were beaten by Crespi, 72-33.

It's still a good sign for high school sports when students of all grades are showing up to cheer, root and have fun with their classmates, as the video above indicates.

Where else do you get to see dozens of students stand still like a statue for 30 seconds, then suddenly go crazy on cue?
