Boys' basketball: Student sections under scrutiny

February 27, 2013 |  1:12 pm

This has been the year of revitalized student sections, with lots of enthusiasm and excitement. But some students still need to learn what's appropriate and what's not in cheering.

Westlake students started cheering when Tesoro's star player, Tanner Lancona, went down with a groin injury on Tuesday night. Westlake athletic administrator Jim Benkert said two students were removed for "inappropriate behavior."

Positive cheering is encouraged. Negative cheering is not.
