Etiwanda (21-2), ranked No. 4 by The Times, was playing as well as any basketball team in Southern California, but on Tuesday night, Rancho Cucamonga pulled off the upset, beating the Eagles, 61-59, to gain a first-place tie in the Baseline League.

Malcolm Drumwright scored 27 points and Victor Joseph had 26 for Rancho Cucamonga. Jordan McLaughlin led Etiwanda with 17 points.
