Top-seeded Los Angeles cruised to a 92-48 win over Los Angeles Kennedy in a City Section Division III playoff opener on Thursday.

Santiago Grady scored 22 points and Jordan Espy had 20. No. 4 Sun Valley Poly defeated Manual Arts, 72-40. Cesar Reyes scored 22 points and Sal Gonzalez had 20. Brian Sanchez contributed 10 assists. Grant defeated Marshall, 58-39. Daleshaun Jackson led Grant with 17 points.

Chatsworth defeated Contreras, 84-48. Huntington Park defeated North Hollywood, 66-50. Hamilton defeated Franklin, 58-43. Sammy Perez scored 22 points in South Gate’s 52-41 win over King-Drew.

In Division II, No. 1 Granada Hills Kennedy defeated Lincoln, 72-34. Chris Gonzalez scored 24 points and made six three-pointers. No. 2 Sylmar defeated Bravo, 77-42. Devenir Duruisseau scored 16 points. Roosevelt defeated Hollywood, 47-31.

Granada Hills defeated Reseda, 66-37. Gardena defeated Verdugo Hills, 62-52.
