Boys' basketball: Jeremy Wright delivers winning shot for Gardena Serra

With time running out, Jeremy Wright made a three-pointer to give Gardena Serra a 69-66 victory over JSerra in a Southern Section 4AA quarterfinal playoff game on Tuesday night.

Tavrion Dawson had 21 points and Ajon Efferson 17 for Serra, which will play Crespi in the semifinals. Crespi defeated Price, 70-67. Freshman Max Heidegger scored 32 points and London Perrantes added 19. Chance Murray led Price with 23.

Top-seeded Bishop Montgomery defeated Harvard-Westlake, 78-58. Lamond Murray Jr. had 21 points and seven rebounds. The Knights will face La Verne Lutheran, which defeated Windward, 73-68.

In 1A, West Ranch defeated Huntington Beach, 63-50. Ako Kaluna had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Santa Monica defeated Burbank, 58-46. Jordan Mathews had 22 points.

In 2A, Westlake defeated Newport Harbor, 87-78. Larry Bush made five three-pointers and had 21 points. Marcos Soto made four three-pointers and had 28 points. Glendora defeated Dominguez, 55-49. AJ Bigornia had 30 points for Glendora. EJ Johnson had 17 for Dominguez.

In 2AA, Tanner Fanjoy had 17 points in Thousand Oaks' 68-49 win over Fontana Miller.

In 3A, Chaminade defeated Tahquitz, 79-42, for its eighth consecutive win. Jaron Martin scored 24 points. The Eagles will face Oak Park in the semifinals. Oak Park defeated St. Francis, 64-42. Ron Lee had 27 points and made all 11 of his free throws. St. John Bosco defeated Cathedral, 69-36. Isaac Hamilton scored 25 points, Daniel Hamilton 15 and Tyler Dorsey 14. The Braves will face Ocean VIew.

In 3AA, Damien defeated Temescal Canyon, 62-32. Jeremy Hemsley scored 18 points.

In 3AAA, Scott Woods scored 16 points, had nine rebounds and seven blocks in Royal's 42-38 win over West Torrance.

in 4A, Pacific Hills defeated St. Bonaventure, 69-60. Jahmel Taylor and Namon Wright had 17 points apiece. Brentwood defeated St. Margaret's, 78-57. Leland King scored 22 points and Tra Holder 20. Jose Estrada had 29 points as Cantwell-Sacred Heart knocked off St. Anthony, 62-52.

In 5AA, Village Christian defeated Bell-Jeff, 70-63. Bryan Alberts had 21 points. Robert Cartwright scored 26 points in Flintridge Prep's 77-47 win over Santa Clara. Buckley defeated Brethren Christian, 75-51. Tyler Coppin-Carter had 19 points.
