Boys’ basketball: It’s a Westlake-Redondo 2A final

No. 1 Westlake and No. 2 Redondo each won semifinal games on Tuesday night to advance to the Southern Section 2A championship game on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Westlake (26-4) rallied for a 60-51 victory over Tesoro, taking advantage of an injury to Tesoro’s Tanner Lacona to come back from an 18-4 deficit. Josh Brooks had 17 points, Larry Bush 16 and Grant Lozoya 11.

Redondo defeated Arroyo Grande, 55-41. Ian Fox had 16 points and Derek Biale 15.
