Boys' basketball: It's a Westchester-ECR Division I final

The much-anticipated City Section Division I championship game is set. It will be top-seeded Westchester against No. 2 El Camino Real next Saturday at 8 p.m. at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Westchester took care of Western League rival Palisades, 62-49, in the semifinals, beating the Dolphins for the third time this season. Matthew Grant scored 18 points for the Comets (27-6), who had to make lots of free throws to prevail.

Palisades trailed, 29-26, at halftime, but the Comets took control in the third quarter, then withstood another Palisades comeback attempt in the fourth quarter.
