Boys’ basketball: Evan Zeller leads Mission Viejo

Evan Zeller scored 18 points to help Mission Viejo defeat Tesoro, 60-51, to gain a share of its fourth consecutive South Coast League championship. Darin Sutton and Max Redfield added 11 points apiece. Mission Viejo is 24-3 and shared the title with El Toro.

In the Baseline League, Rancho Cucamonga and Etiwanda finished as co-champions. Rancho Cucamonga (23-4) won a coin flip and will enter the 1AA playoffs as the league’s No. 1 representative after defeating Alta Loma, 85-62. Malcolm Drumwright scored 20 points and Victor Joseph 18. Etiwanda defeated Glendora, 60-25. Kenny Barnes and Davis Nuaimi had 11 points apiece.

In the Trinity League, Mater Dei defeated Servite, 47-37, to finish unbeaten in league. St. John Bosco defeated Santa Margarita, 79-61. Daniel Hamilton scored 23 points, Darien Williams had 16 and Isaac Hamilton returned to the court and finished with 15 points. JSerra defeated Orange Lutheran, 65-54.

Buckley won its ninth Liberty League title in the last 10 years with a 47-30 win over Yeshiva. Sophomore Austin Butler scored 20 points.

In the Sierra League, Chino Hills defeated South Hills, 88-44. Lonzo Ball scored 20 points.

In the Marmonte League, Royal defeated Thousand Oaks, 50-44. Weston Park had 13 points.

St. Anthony won the Santa Fe League title with a 77-46 win over Bell-Jeff. Eric Cooper scored 20 points. Kyle Benton had 12 points and 15 rebounds.
