Boys’ basketball: Don’t show up without a ticket to Oak Park-Chaminade game

Oak Park officials are recommending that fans who want to attend Friday’s Southern Section 3A semifinal game against Chaminade should purchase a ticket at Oak Park or at Chaminade on Thursday or Friday during presale of tickets.

Oak Park’s gym seats 1,500, and Chaminade officials have told Oak Park that they want to bring 800 fans. Chaminade has been given 650 tickets to presale.

Oak Park Athletic Director Ann Pettit said there’s a chance someone who shows up Friday without a ticket won’t be able to get in, so that’s why she’s recommending purchasing during the presale period.
