Baseball: Jeff Suppan is playing in his first Crespi alumni game

February 16, 2013 | 11:21 am

Jeff Suppan has always been too busy with professinal baseball to play in the Crespi alumni game.

He's set to play in the alumni game on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hartunian Field.

It has been 20 years since Suppan was a senior at Crespi in 1993 and helped the Celts reach the Southern Section Division 1 semifinals.

Even though he's known for his pitching, Suppan was a pretty good hitter in high school. So beware of the long ball.

Update: Suppan pitched six shutout innings. The alumni won, 8-2.
