Baseball: Chaminade pitchers blank Chatsworth, 1-0

Kevin Lewallyn, Chad Gubicza and Adam Bedrossian combined on a shutout to help Chaminade defeat Chatsworth, 1-0, in an Easton tournament game. The only run came home on a bases loaded walk in the sixth inning.

Quartz Hill defeated Loyola, 3-0. Ty Boyles threw shutout ball for 6 2/3 innings, allowing three hits. Harvard-Westlake got two hits apiece from Joe Corrigan and Michael Vokulich in a 4-2 win over Rio Mesa.

No. 1 Agoura got a triple and two RBIs from Albee Weiss in a 4-0 win over Alemany. Henry Baker threw 5 1/3 innings of shutout ball.

Newbury Park defeated Cleveland, 6-2. Jack Hartman and Matt del Mundo had two hits each for Cleveland. Valencia defeated El Camino Real, 12-1. A.J. Balta had two hits and two RBIs. Keston Hiura had two hits and three RBIs. Luke Soroko allowed two hits in six innings.

Oaks Christian defeated Hart, 6-5, in eight innings. Brandon Evans had a two-out, bases-loaded triple in the sixth. Jack Kruger had two hits.

West Ranch defeated Moorpark, 11-0. Cody Bennett threw five innings, striking out six. Jagger Rusconi had three hits.
