Prep basketball comes to Venice Beach

Tiny Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica has decided to hold three basketball games on Saturday at the center court on Ocean Walk at Venice Beach.
The girls’ teams from North Hollywood Oakwood and Calabasas Viewpoint will play at 10 a.m., followed by a JV boys’ game between Oakwood and Pacifica Christian at 11:30 a.m., with the boys’ varsity game between Oakwood and Pacifica Christian at 1 p.m.
You get to enjoy the Venice Beach Boardwalk for what is being billed as the ‘first ever outdoor high school sanctioned game.’
That means prepare for mimes to musicians to jugglers to surfers walking by. If you want to get a tattoo between games or have your fortune read, there’s opportunity.
