Long Beach Wilson to honor its Olympians

Long Beach Wilson will honor its Olympic lineage on Friday during a ceremony between the boys’ and girls’ basketball games at 6 p.m., recognizing the accomplishments of 34 Olympians who attended Wilson.

The men and women who participated in the Olympics as athletes or coaches will be receiving special medals from the school. At least 16 are expected to be on hand.
