Girls' basketball: South El Monte Showcase is Saturday

Mark Keppel, which knocked off Etiwanda in girls' basketball earlier this season, gets another shot against an Inland Empire powerhouse on Saturday, facing Corona Santiago in the featured game of the South El Monte Shootout.

The schedule at South El Monte High School: South El Monte vs. Torres, 4:30 p.m.; Alhambra vs. St. Matthias, 6 p.m.; Mark Keppel vs. Corona Santiago, 7:30 p.m.
