Football: Offensive lineman Toa Lobendahn will transfer to St. John Bosco

Bellflower St. John Bosco, considered one of the favorites to win this fall's Pac-5 Division football championship, will be getting another prized transfer student next week.

Toa Lobendahn, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound junior offensive lineman from Lakewood who is committed to USC, plans to enroll at St. John Bosco, his father, Vince, said Tuesday.

His father was Lakewood's head coach until he was released at the end of this season. He has taken a job as an assistant coach at Cerritos College.

Lobendahn is also a top student.
