Carson High could be looking for its third football coach in three years. Jimmy Nolan, head coach this past season, has been offered the vacant position at Lakewood, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram.

A finalist confirmed that Lakewood had offered the job to Nolan.

Elijah Asante and Mike Christensen, the previous two coaches at Carson, don’t have jobs at the moment, but neither is likely to go back to Carson. Asante coached at St. Paul and Lakewood last season. Christensen was the coach at Loyola.

If Nolan leaves, he will have spent just one season with the Colts after coming from Compton Centennial.
