Boys’ basketball: With 16-0 record, Hart gets tested on Tuesday

A 16-0 start is impressive for Newhall Hart, but there are plenty of skeptics because of the Indians’ schedule. That makes Tuesday night’s Foothill League opener at home against West Ranch an important test.

Hart has two outstanding guards in sophomore Myles Franklin and junior Lewis Stallworth. But the Indians must come up with a plan to contain West Ranch’s 6-foot-8 Ako Kaluna, who’s averaging 17.6 points and 13.6 rebounds.

West Ranch is 10-4 and has played a much tougher nonleague schedule than the Indians.
