Boys' basketball: Trey Mason continues to raise his profile
One of the best uncommitted players in the Southland continues to be senior guard Trey Mason of Los Angeles Loyola. He's averaging 16.4 points after a 28-point performance on Saturday against St. John Bosco in which he made six three-pointers.
He picked up a new fan in Braves Coach Derrick Taylor.
"He's the best shooter I've seen in years," Taylor said. "I'd line him up against anyone."
Mason has been doing a good job serving as Loyola's key scoring threat while waiting for point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright to return from an ankle injury.
