Boys’ basketball: The week ahead features fantastic matchups

If you’re a fan of high school basketball, this is the week to get excited. There are so many quality matchups.

It starts out with No. 7 Chaminade (12-2) hosting No. 9 Loyola (11-2) on Monday night.

On Tuesday in a Foothill League opener, No. 20 Hart (16-0) hosts No. 23 West Ranch (10-4).

On Wednesday, it’s No. 1 Santa Ana Mater Dei (16-0) at No. 4 St. John Bosco (10-1) and No. 15 Santa Monica (11-4) playing at No. 18 Inglewood (7-5).

On Friday, it’s No. 2 Bishop Montgomery (16-0) playing at No. 12 Gardena Serra (11-3) and No. 25 Calabasas (13-2) playing at Thousand Oaks (13-2).

On Saturday, it’s Bishop Montgomery playing at St. John Bosco.
