Boys’ basketball: Rancho Cucamonga, Etiwanda set for showdown

Rancho Cucamonga and Etiwanda each won games on Tuesday night to set up a Baseline League showdown for first place on Friday at Etiwanda.

Malcolm Drumwright scored 33 points as Rancho Cucamonga (17-3, 3-0) defeated Los Osos, 72-63. Jordan McLaughlin scored 18 points and Tim Myles had 14 points and 10 rebounds to help Etiwanda (13-2, 3-0) defeat Alta Loma, 65-28.

St. John Bosco won its Trinity League game over Santa Margarita, 64-58. Isaac Hamilton scored 19 points and Daniel Hamilton had 13 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.

West Ranch stayed in first place in the Foothill League with a 73-57 win over Saugus. Ryan Beddeo and Kevin Harris each scored 19 points. Hart defeated Golden Valley, 74-64. Lewis Stallworth had 21 points.

Village Christian improved to 17-2 with an 88-60 Olympic League win over Maranatha.
