Boys' basketball: Parker Jackson-Cartwright is sidelined

Standout junior point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright of Los Angeles Loyola will be sidelined for several weeks as he attempts to fully recover from a moderate sprain of his foot and ankle that has been bothering him for months, Coach Jamal Adams said in an email.

"We want him to get completely healthy before competing again," Adams said.

Loyola won its Mission League opener on Friday against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame in its first game without Jackson-Cartwright.
