Boys’ basketball: Pacific Hills holds off Brentwood

Brentwood rallied from a 15-point third-quarter deficit to get as close as one point in the fourth quarter, but Pacific Hills held on for a 75-71 Alpha League victory on Wednesday night to take over first place.

The Bruins (15-2, 6-0), ranked No. 1 in Southern Section 4A, received 25 points from Namon Wright,18 from Jahmel Taylor and 15 from Marcus Jackson.

Brentwood (16-2, 4-1), ranked No. 2 in 4A, got 25 points from Leland King, 21 from Tra Holder and 11 apiece from Max Shapiro and Yonathan Napoleon. The Eagles’ defensive stopper, Ountae Campbell, didn’t play because of an injury.
