Boys' basketball: London Perrantes scores 31 points in Crespi victory

It's still unknown which team will win the Mission League basketball race, but one certainty is that senior point guard London Perrantes of Encino Crespi has emerged as the best player in the league.

He scored 31 points on Friday night to help Crespi defeat Alemany, 58-55, to stay in first place in the Mission League. Loyola stayed one game behind with a 74-55 win over Chaminade. Max Hazzard and Mtume Armour each had 16 points. Harvard-Westlake defeated Notre Dame, 68-59. Clinton Hooks scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds. Chad Kanoff added 12 points and 14 rebounds. Ryan Ducar led Notre Dame with 20 points.

In the Pacific League, Lawrence White scored 44 points to help Burbank Burroughs defeat Glendale, 73-70.

In the Trinity League, Servite upset Orange Lutheran, 38-37. Neil Pau'u scored 15 points and Louis Juego had 12. Mater Dei defeated Santa Margarita, 93-53. Stanley Johnson scored 35 points. MJ Cage had 12 points. St. John Bosco defeated JSerra, 77-68. Tyler Dorsey led the Braves with 27 points. 

In the South Coast League, Mission Viejo defeated Capistrano Valley, 60-52. Evan Zeller and Max Redfield each scored 16 points. Next up is a Wednesday showdown at home against El Toro.

Etiwanda set up a Saturday showdown with highly regarded La Costa Canyon by defeating Upland, 66-30, in the Baseline League. Jordan McLaughlin scored 20 points. Etiwanda faces Canyon at 7:30 p.m. at Azusa Pacific. Rancho Cucamonga defeated Glendora, 67-60. Mateu Vilakazi had 18 points.

In the Marmonte League, Thousand Oaks defeated Newbury Park, 57-44. Tanner Fanjoy had 14 points. Royal defeated Simi Valley, 89-44. Max McCoy had 17 points and Scott Woods added 11 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Westlake defeated Moorpark, 75-51. Alex Egurbide led the way with 15 points. Westlake is 19-3 and 9-1.

In the Del Rey League, Bishop Montgomery defeated Bishop Amat, 65-25. Lamond Murray Jr. had 20 points. Serra defeated La Salle, 68-45. Travion Dawson scored 17 points.

In the Tri-Valley League, Oaks Christian defeated Malibu, 51-22. Oak Park defeated Santa Clara, 57-38. Ron Lee Jr. scored 24 points, had 10 rebounds and five assists.

In the Sierra League, Chino Hills defeated Charter Oak, 78-32. Cameron Curry and Mark Williams had 11 points apiece. Damien defeated Ayala, 59-37. Jeremy Hemsley scored 19 points and Jared Dizon 17.

St. Anthony defeated Verbum Dei, 73-51. Eric Cooper scored 18 points. Kyle Benton had 15 points and nine rebounds.

In the Alpha League, Windward defeated Viewpoint, 72-41.
