Boys' basketball: Jonathan Brown leads Fairfax victory

Senior point guard Jonathan Brown of Fairfax, facing a box-and-one defense in the second half, finished with 24 points to lead the Lions past University, 70-64, in a Western League game on Thursday.

Reggie Theus Jr. had 16 points and Lindsey Drew added 10 points, including a critical three-pointer in the fourth quarter.

University stayed close by making three-pointers, led by Morris Ravis, who finished with 16 points.

The game was tied at 55-55, 57-57 and 59-59 in the fourth quarter before the Lions began to pull away. Theus made all four of his free throws in the fourth quarter.
