Boys’ basketball: Corona Centennial is upset by Riverside King

There was an upset in the Big VIII League on Thursday night, with Corona Centennial (23-2, 7-1) falling to Riverside King, 75-71.

Chris Lott led King with 23 points and Ryan Lough had 15.

Sam Finley scored 28 points and Deontae North had 24 for Centennial.

Centennial’s loss could affect seedings for the Southern Section Division 1AA playoffs when pairings are announced a week from Sunday.
