Boys' basketball: Birmingham replaces its coach

Third-year coach Nick Hauselman of Lake Balboa Birmingham said Friday he has been fired with no reason given to him by school administrators. Assistant Nick Halic has taken over the program.

Athletic Director Rick Prizant said, "We can't say anything."

Hauselman said an allegation of racial bias was made against him by a parent last season. He said he was interviewed last May by officials from the Department of Education and thought the allegation had been dealt with.
