The Valley Mission League championship could be on the line on Friday, when Sylmar hosts Granada Hills Kennedy.

Kennedy is 16-5. Sylmar is 8-10. It’s a rivarly between players and coaches.

The question is whether Sylmar has been able to gain enough consistency after the arrival of so many new players this season.

Both schools have challenged themselves with competitive nonleague schedules.

Dominique Vargas leads Kennedy in scoring at 11.9 points.

Cody Rodino is Sylmar’s playmaker and gets the Spartans going.
