Baseball: Bell defeats San Fernando in tournament final

They held a baseball tournament championship game on Monday at the Urban Youth Academy in Compton, and Bell rallied to defeat San Fernando, 5-4.

Bell has a new coach, former assistant Mario Rosales. The Eagles got a complete game earlier in the tournament from senior pitcher Gabriel Ramos. Their top player could be sophomore shortstop Juan Delgado. Also doing well was senior catcher Luis Flores.

For San Fernando, Roberto Ramos, a transfer from Birmingham who gained his eligibility, had a home run and triple earlier in the tournament.

San Fernando returns All-City pitcher Alonzo Garcia, who was 12-1 as a sophomore.
