St. Monica has started the season strong and posted one of its biggest victories Saturday, defeating Burbank 54-52 in a gold division semifinal of the West Coast Holiday Festival.

Senior guard Briana Harris stole the ball along the baseline, dribbled the length of the court in four seconds and scored the game-winning layup as time expired. Harris finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds and has averaged 27.5 points in four tournament games.
