Football: QB Alek Torgersen leads Edison to title

Quarterback Alek Torgersen ran for one touchdown and passed for another as Huntington Beach Edison defeated Villa Park, 28-10, to win the Southwest Division championship at Angel Stadium. It was the first CIF title for Coach Dave White in his 27 seasons as coach.

Now Edison and Western Division champion Gardena Serra must wait to see if they are selected for a CIF Division II regional playoff bowl berth.
