Football: Long Beach Poly tries to continue late-season surge

Long Beach Poly’s football season is still going. Who would have thought that was possible weeks ago? The Pac-5 champion Jackrabbits play Clovis North in a CIF state regional Division I championship bowl game at Veterans Stadium.

The fog is holding off so far. Clovis North has some size and good balance on offense, but Poly’s defense has been playing magnificent football in the postseason.

Kickoff is moments away. The game is airing live on Time Warner Cable HD 700. I’ll be blogging.
