December 1, 2012 |  8:57 pm

_C011927Long Beach Poly scored TDs on its first three possessions, but a touchdown at the end of the half has pulled Mater Dei closer, 21-10, going into intermission of the Pac-5 final at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

The Monarchs caught a bad break in the final seconds of the second quarter when officials awarded them the ball on an interception but negated a potential runback.

Mater Dei will get the ball first in the second half with a chance to move within one score. So far the Monarchs have been unable to establish the run.
