Long Beach Poly’s defense has made the first big play of the second half.

Matthew Mitai hit Mater Dei quarterback Chase Forrest from the blind side and Jayon Brown scooped up the fumble and returned it 16 yards for a touchdown to increase Poly’s lead to 28-10 with 6:18 left in the third quarter.
