Football: John Smith catches nine-yard TD pass for Long Beach Poly

Long Beach Poly has tied Clovis North, 7-7, in the second quarter after John Smith caught a nine-yard touchdown pass from Eban Jackson and fourth-and-seven.

Poly has attempted 12 passes with 9:28 left in the second quarter, a far different strategy than what the Jackrabbits used to win the Pac-5 Division with their running game.

Update: Through three quarters, Poly has 14-7 lead.
