Football: AstroTurf will be installed for games at Home Depot Center

The CIF state championship football bowl games set for Dec. 14-15 at the Home Depot Center in Carson will be played on AstroTurf for the second consecutive year. It's being installed for use next weekend.

It will help preserve the field in case of rain. There are five games scheduled to be played on the field.

Division IV is 4 p.m. on Dec. 14, followed by Division I at 8 p.m.

On Dec. 15, Division III is at noon, Division II at 4 p.m. and Open Division at 8 p.m.
