Chris Sailer, Niguel Miguel among Notre Dame Hall of Fame inductees

Sherman Oaks Notre Dame has announced its 2013 inductees into the athletic Hall of Fame on Feb. 23 in the school gym, and among the honorees will be kicker Chris Sailer and basketball standout Nigel Miguel.

Sailer was the nation’s top kicker for the Knights who later became an All-American at UCLA. Miguel was an All-American guard who went on to UCLA.

Also being inducted is Tony Salas, basketball captain from 1957; Bud Fabian, who scored 66 points in a game from the class of 1969; Escamillo Viltz, a two-time All-CIF baseball player from 1978; football standout Travis Johnson from the class of 2000 who went to Florida State and was a first-round draft pick, and Garrett Green, the quarterback who led the Knights to three consecutive titles from the class of 2006 and went on to USC and threw a touchdown in the 2008 Rose Bowl.
