Boys' basketball: West Ranch leading Chaminade

West Ranch got off to a white hot start and has a 40-32 lead over Chaminade at halftime in the first semifinal of the Santa Monica tournament. 

Ken Harris has 15 points, including three three-pointers, and Zac Nuttal has 10 for the Wildcats, who led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter. 

Javon Martin has 15 points and Trevor Stanback has seven for Chaminade in a battle of undefeated teams. The Eagles made eight three-pointers in their quarterfinal victory over El Camino Real.
