Boys’ basketball: St. Joseph upsets Westchester in overtime

In an opening upset from the National Prep Classic in Santa Maria, Case Bruton scored 25 points and Keith Datu 21 to help Santa Maria St. Joseph knock off City Section power Westchester, 67-62, in overtime. It was St. Joseph’s first game of the season.
Pasadena defeated San Luis Obispo, 57-54. Andre Spight scored 17 points.
