Boys’ basketball: Public vs. Private showcase is set for Saturday

It will be public schools taking on private schools in a basketbll showcase on Satuday at Long Beach City College.
The schedule: 11 a.m., Compton Centennial vs. La Salle; 12:30 p.m., Corona Santiago vs. Army & Navy; 2 p.m.; Santa Monica vs. La Jolla Country Day; 3:30 p.m., Long Beach Jordan vs. Price; 5 p.m., Rancho Cucamonga vs. Cantwell-Scared Heart; 6:30 p.m., Riverside North vs. St. Augustine; 8 p.m., Etiwanda vs. Cathedral Catholic.
Tickets are $10 adult, $8 children and parking is free.
