Boys' basketball: Lewis Stallworth, Myles Franklin lead Hart to victory
Lewis Stallworth scored 26 points and sophomore guard Myles Franklin contributed 19 points and 11 assists to lead Newhall Hart (2-0) to a 88-67 victory over Flintridge Prep in the Crescenta Valley tournament.
Westlake defeated Sun Valley, 102-43. Grant Lozoya scored 24 points and Larry Bush 22.
St. John Bosco (2-0) received 29 points from Isaac Hamilton in an 83-35 win over Hamilton in the El Rancho tournament.
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame won in the debut of Coach Vince Oliver, defeating Oxnard, 61-59. Luca Ferrari scored 18 points and Ryan Ducar 15. Grant Kraemer had 14 rebounds.
Rancho Cucamonga defeated Paloma Valley, 95-38. Malcolm Drumwright scored 22 points.
In the Arroyo tournament, Joseph Cook scored 22 points as Bishop Amat defeated Workman, 67-60, in overtime. La Canada defeaed Arcadia, 46-44, rallying from an 18-point deficit. Brendan Hempstead made six three-pointers. Arcadia's Ben Bowen had 19 points on eight-of-nine shooting.
Arroyo defeated HH Wilson, 46-43, with Primitivo Gomez scoring 31 points. Montclair defeated South El Monte, 74-54.
