Boys’ basketball: Hart edges Westlake, 70-68

In a battle of unbeaten teams, Newhall Hart defeated Westlake, 70-68, in the Crescenta Valley tournament.

Myles Franklin and Lewis Stallworth each scored 21 points for the Indians. Westlake received 28 points from Grant Lozoya. Kennedy defeated Crescenta Valley, 58-55, and will play Hart in the final. Dom Vargas scored 15 points.

In the University tournament, Buckley defeated Campbell Hall, 81-66. Terry Coppin Carter scored 22 points for Buckley. Aaron Holiday had 39 points for Campbell Hall. Dorsey defeated Los Angeles, 73-66.

In the El Rancho tournament, St. John Bosco defeated Eagle Rock, 84-41. Issac Hamilton scored 28 points.

In the Westchester tournament, Westchester defeated Peninsula, 65-23. Elijah Stewart scored 14 points.

In the Ocean View tournament, Crespi defeated Warren, 63-54. Max Heidegger scored 17 points and London Perrantes 16. Michael Onyebalu had 29 points for Warren.

In the Arroyo Grande tournament, Dakota Pierce scored 23 points in Thousand Oaks’ 56-49 win over Atascadero. In the Canyon tournament, Grant defeated Eastside, 65-48. Tullio Parry scored 25 points.

In the Oak Park tournament, Luca Ferrari scored 16 points and Ryan Ducar 13 as Sherman Oaks Notre Dame defeated Besant Hill, 52-45. Agoura defeated Reseda, 66-46. Oak Park defeated Ventura, 62-38. It will be Oak Park vs. Valencia in Friday’s 8 p.m. final.
