Boys' basketball: Foothill League shows early strength

Two weeks into the prep basketball season and the Foothill League is showing early signs of strength.

Hart won the Crescenta Valley tournament. Valencia won the Oak Park tournament. Canyon and Saugus play for the championship of the Canyon tournament. And West Ranch plays Loyola on Saturday night for the championship for the Santa Monica tournament.

West Ranch is trying to pull off the biggest feat _ beating Mission League teams Crespi, Alemany, Chaminade and Loyola.
