Boys' basketball: Elijah Brown scores 28 points in Mater Dei opener
Santa Ana Mater Dei opened its basketball on Saturday in Chicago with a 65-55 victory over Illinois St. Joseph.
Elijah Brown scored 28 points and had seven rebounds. Stanley Johnson contributed 15 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Strawberry had 13 points.
