Boys’ basketball: Kevin Harris scores 31 points for West Ranch

Valencia West Ranch received 31 points from Kevin Harris in a 78-66 win over Chico in the Sacramento tournament. Ako Kaluna added 23 points and 14 rebounds. West Hills Chaminade defeated Eisenhower, 81-37. Jack Williams scored 15 points. The Eagles will face Oakland on Friday.

Elijah Brown made five three-pointers and finished with 24 points in Mater Dei’s 70-30 win over Nevada Cheyenne in Las Vegas. Stanley Johnson added 17 points. Fairfax was beaten by Pinnacle, 57-40. Reggie Theus Jr. had 13 points.

In South Carolina, St. John Bosco defeated Wesleyan Christian, 67-59. Isaac Hamilton scored 28 points.

In Maui, Pasadena Maranatha defeated San Diego San Marcos, 67-65, in overtime. Jeremy Major scored 27 points.

In San Luis Obispo, Bishop Montgomery stayed unbeaten with a 58-46 win over Utah Brighton. Stephen Thompson Jr. and Ognjen Miljovic each had 17 points. Campbell Hall was beaten by Miramonte, 73-57. Aaron Holiday scored 25 points. Seattle Prep defeated Taft, 65-44.

In the Windward tournament, Palisades opened a 24-point lead before holding on for an 86-79 win over Windward. Ammar Rehman scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds. Aaron Johnson added 17 points. Jordan Wilson led Windward with 22 points.

Crenshaw defeated Beverly Hills, 77-61. Andre Edwards had 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Malcolm Drumwright scored 22 points to lead Rancho Cucamonga (9-2) to a 73-67 victory over Warren.

In the Marmonte League, Royal defeated Simi Valley, 82-37. Max McCoy scored 19 points. Westlake defeated Moorpark, 77-57. Joshua Brooks scored 22 points and Isaiah Brooks 13. Sam Cirillo led Moorpark with 21 points. Thousand Oaks defeated Newbury Park, 65-51. Dakota Pierce had 16 points and Jacob Lachina and Tanner Fanjoy 13 apiece for the Lancers (11-1, 3-0).

Royal, Westlake, Thousand Oaks and Calabasas are all 3-0 in league.

Rio Mesa defeated Canyon Country Canyon, 51-48, in overtime despite five three-pointers and 20 points from Ben Taufahema.
